Programme Overview
This one-year post-graduate diploma programme will prepare you to apply product knowledge in a marketing environment, as well as inculcate in you marketing and merchandising skills, with a special bias to the international market. This qualification will position you as Assistant Merchandising! Marketing Manager or equivalent, with a job profile to understand buyers' requirements, to develop procedures and MIS for merchandise sourcing and order execution, to operate merchandising systems, to under take sampling and production follow-up, and to coordinate between merchandising and other parts of the organization.
Programme Structure
The year-long duration is broken into four terms. During the first three terms, you will acquire knowledge and learn application in eight areas: textiles, garment production, merchandising, fashion forecasting, computers, marketing, retail merchandising and international trade. In the final term, you will receive industry exposure through an eight week internship, and then top up the programme through a Diploma project.
